Sounds like a great time to cash in on the insurance!

This is just Nissan trying to drum up demand for the new Rogue.
Be on the lookout for an arsonist trying to escape in a large music case.

I rented a Rogue once. While I didn’t hate it, I wouldn’t want to DD one for 5 or more years.

That was my thought too. Not that they did it on purpose, necessarily, but a friend of mine was a Hertz manager at a Florida airport for awhile, and they did not do a great job of maintaining or securing cars in storage.
I could see this as a benefit. Cars either sit and rot for 2 years while the country stays shut down, or burn and collect insurance money.

I had one as a rental for awhile, when my employer accidentally let the registration lapse on my company Escape and took over a month to straighten it out.
I thought it was better built and more comfortable than the Escape, but that's as much as I'd say for it.

It was stupid and overbuilt. Hard to see out of. I didn’t fit well in it. There were some neat gizmos, like the parking camera, but not enough to make me want to buy one.

I wouldn't buy either, personally. I'm one of relatively few people at this company who keeps a personal car as a daily driver. But, the Escape is a tinny egg on wheels suspended on marshmallows, the Rouge feels like a tank in comparison.

F ort Myers is where we would fly into to visit the in-laws. But we typically wouldn’t rent a car, and we aren’t visiting them any time soon anyway, even though we would like to. But now it might be extra difficult if we visited and we decided that we needed a rental . . .

Ack.....just re- posted this, did’t see your post after searching for ‘fire’ and ‘rental’........

Time to hike up rental car rates on whatever is remaining!

So you’re saying we have a rogue fugitive on the run?

I took one soft-roading in Kansas and it was surprisingly confident, even without using the AWD. Still wouldn’t want to own one.
